We featured Kluster a couple of times in 2018 and now they return with 'Wild' an imaginative song that is hard to categorise in any one genre, it's creative and engaging nonetheless.
Jamie Lynn Vessels has just shared 'Cloak and Dagger' a brooding rocker that builds with intensity and emotion, her simmering vocals are just right for natural rock songs.
Another band who have been on Beehive Candy twice before are Stop.drop.rewind and their latest song 'Floating Stone' makes a third appearance inevitable as this expansive rocker comes fuelled with plenty of hooks.

Kluster - Wild.
Kluster was founded by four friends and a virtual drummer in Malmö 2014, a real life drummer joined in shortly afterwards and the gang was complete. Since, the quintet has been active on as well the Malmö indie scene as playing shows in Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, supporting acts such as Frankie Cosmos and Nicole Sabouné. Debut album civic was released last summer and Kluster received praise from BBC Radio 6, major swedish music magazines and more. Since releasing their debut LP the band have become deeply involved within their local scene through running 'Fubbik' - a live music club night for Malmö bands only. Today, the debut is followed by new single Wild, including the bands first music video, out on all platforms via Rama Lama Records.
Wild is yet another glimpse of Kluster's playful sound - a melting pot of broad influences such as pop, punk, noise, lo-fi, indie and jazz. According to the band, "Wild is about the harvest of wild berries, giving you stains that never go away. But also about the longing for the fox that lives alone in the wild. In Chinese culture, the fox can also symbolize a being with magical powers, a messenger from the spirit world or the dead. The song can generally be said to be an ongoing inner trial, with memory images having impact as they appear in the dazzling summer light seen from above.".
The members have a history as academic jazz players, forming Kluster after longing to find a collective process free from strict genre playbooks and narrow-minded academic rules. A process that resulted in Kluster's captivating characteristic dynamic and turning points, alternating from melodious to dissonance, complex to simple.
The video is made by designer duo Angelina Petrovic and Jonna Jansson who explores whats ugly, weird, disgusting and nice. Kluster consist of Linnea Hall (vocals), Pontus Örnstrand (keyboard), Sebastian Hegedüs (guitar), Adam Jonsson (guitar) and Andreas Pollak (drums) and are available for interviews and other requests.

Jamie Lynn Vessels - Cloak and Dagger.
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Jamie graduated with an undergraduate and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice during a stint in the Northeast. Piano, guitar, songwriting - and even a brief foray with the trombone - were never far from her throughout her formative and academic years. Torn between two paths, Jamie's passion for, and calling to, a life of music drove her to find her artistic home in New Orleans.
Several years after making the move to the Crescent City, 2018 and 2019 have seen the formation of an entirely new band and sound, with fresh energy and material.
This shift caught the attention of peers and fans alike, giving the six-foot rock Amazon well-deserved attention in the indie world as a songstress, performer, and vocalist, both abroad and at home.
Likened to Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Jamie has the rare ability to captivate and enrapture with a combination of her stage presence, lyrical prowess, electrifying rhythms, and a voice both raw and soulfully soothing. It's not just a concert - it's an experience.

Stop.drop.rewind - Floating Stone.
Stop.drop.rewind tell us - "Our latest single, "Floating Stone," is out and already gaining praise for its mature take on our signature sound. It's a slow-burner; the music and lyrics reflect the ups-and-downs and perseverance required for a life in bands. This is personal territory for us- DJ, the guitar player/lyricist, and I taught ourselves to play together and have been making music for almost 20 years".
Stop.drop.rewind is the primary musical outlet for four like-minded individuals currently residing in northwest Indiana who believe that music should be innovative, inclusive, and above all else, shared. After nearly twenty years of education, practice, and cooperative songwriting, stop.drop.rewind has come together to confound those who try to define them, bringing their unique brand of jazz-tinged progressive pop rock to audiences across the Midwest and beyond.
Kris Lohn and DJ Crenson met in 2000 in Baltimore, Maryland when they were both 11 years old. It didn’t take them long after that to get instruments in their hands, as they started their first band together that same year. They spent their formative years taking in everything the blossoming Baltimore scene had to offer, coming up with the likes of All Time Low and You, Me, and Everyone We Know before relocating to northwest Indiana for college. It was there that stop.drop.rewind formally began.
After writing songs and performing around the region throughout college, the group solidified their rhythm section by adding region native Andy Sutton on drums and releasing Polarity, their 2016 EP. The success of this release afforded them the opportunity to begin regular South by Southwest appearances and perform with the likes of Secondhand Serenade, The Spill Canvas, Hawthorne Heights, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Soul Asylum, Halifax, and Amber Pacific, and in 2018 they released their first full length album, entitled Element & Aftermath. Shortly thereafter, their lineup was finally completed with the addition of fellow region transplant Matt Alley, who moved to Indiana from South Carolina to pursue his own musical education. This quartet of musicians is determined to share their music with anyone eager to listen, with plenty to love for fans of pop and prog rock alike.

Background - Tia Gostelow will top off what has been a hugely successful year with the announcement of her debut EP Status Anxiety via AntiFragile Music on February 16, 2018, which will include her never-before-heard track, “Giants”. The EP will follow the 18- year- old indie rock songstress signing with the US label in 2017, along with a world wide publishing deal with National Tongue and has joining Footstomp Music/ Kandence Group Management's fantastic roster of artists. “I make sense of life through song. I really live and breathe music - it has to be sincere, from the heart. And I think it’s beautiful when people can relate to songs in their own ways with their own stories.”
Tia Gostelow’s EP marks the beginning of what is an already stellar career. (Status Anxiety)In 2018, the young vocalist is expected to drop her first full length LP, perform to sold out crowds across Australia, and will be headed across the pond for SXSW and a highly anticipated US tour. FACEBOOK.

Candace - Rewind.
Background - Candace's has just shared the video for "Rewind," the first single off of their upcoming full-length, New Ruins, which comes out on March 2nd.
Candace (formerly known as Is/Is) can be traced back to the summer of 2009 when Sarah Rose (guitar/bass/vocals), Sarah Nienaber (guitar/bass/vocals), and Mara Appel DesLauriers (drums/vocals) came up with the great idea to make music together. The band released the This Happening EP (2010), the “Vowel Movements/Blackest Beat” 7” (2011), their full-length debut, III, in 2012, Is/Is (2014), and a number of singles before announcing their name change to Candace in 2016. New Future, the band’s first official release under the new name, was produced, recorded, and mixed by Neil Weir and Candace at Jackpot! Recording Studio in Portland, Oregon, where the band all lives.
Writing momentum stayed steady following the release of New Future so the band took a trip to Iowa just a few days after Trump was elected to work on some new material. Working with long-time collaborator Neil Weir, at Flat Black Studios, built in an old barn in the middle of nowhere outside of Iowa City, surrounded by corn fields and nothing else, they ate frozen pizza, tracked for 12-hours a day, and then passed out in a loft sleeping area above the studio. Once the songs were done, the band handed the finished material off to Larry Crane at Jackpot! for mixing. WEBSITE, FACEBOOK.

Roxy Rawson - Black Eyed Soup.
Background - Bay Area artist Roxy Rawson has just shared her new single "Black Eyed Soup". The single is the first from forthcoming album Quenching the Kill, due out later this year.
Rawson gives us a whimsical and upbeat acappella track to snap along to as it slowly builds. She sings the story of a soup with eyes she ate in China that not only turned her stomach, but reminded her of a relationship that in the end, looked just as mangled and unappealing as the soup. “The song was my way of celebrating my discernment that the love wasn't right." Rawson’s quirky and energetic anti-folk style adds to itself throughout this track as if it were a choral jazz arrangement.
Born into a Mormon community in Hitchin, Roxanna Rawson was introduced to music through Church hymns, but first found her feet in Paris where she studied violin and piano at University of Paris VIII. Surrounding herself with local jazz performers, she joined several orchestras and spent much of her time studying classical and baroque styles of music. Rawson found her own voice however, developing a unique vocal style through singing ‘jumping jazz intervals’ on the streets of the French capital. She also joined an African Choir, adding yet another multi-cultural layer to her sound.
Rawson left Paris for London in 2004, and joined an anti-folk collective by the name of AsYet, working alongside alternative original talents such as William Nein, David Goo, Miss Jo Williams, Fiona Bevan and Left with Pictures. She soon attracted the attention of producer and label owner Al Mobbs (Damon Albarn). A development deal with Sony led to her debut EP Changing Things, released on Ambiguous Records (2009) and the coinciding single "Fingers". Quenching the Kill is Roxy's debut full-length album. WEBSITE, FACEBOOK.
'Black Eyed Soup' opens with a simple and stylish accapella arrangement, leaving Roxy Rawson with plenty of room to expand upon. This she does in truck loads, the song is very catchy, her vocals are just gorgeous & so naturally engaging. Simple and yet superb!

Have You Ever Seen the Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS? - Bambi Act.
Background - Finnish 3-piece Have You Ever Seen The Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS? reveal new single Bambi Act, out last Friday via VILD.
Ekku Lintunen likens his songwriting to crafting surreal movies. Starting with a picture in his mind, he throws out lyrical phrases to create this image for the listener. Enough is held back though that there are more questions than answers. Like all great films, the listener interprets as they do.
Never is this more apparent than on Bambi Act, a dark vaudevillian modern fairy-tale – Lintunen offers his interpretation: "A man falls for another man. Man goes for a sex change operation, and now as a woman, charms her beloved; soon, we can hear their wedding bells. Happiness proves to be false, and she's ultimately rejected. Shocked by this dreadful event, unhappy incidents occur, and through wrong choices she ends up on the street turning tricks with her decaying body. What's your interpretation?..."
The trio have carved out a unique sound for themselves, opting to use keyboards instead of guitars. This is after Lintunen and drummer Janne-Petteri Pitkälä, on seeing the film Drive, instantly decided to form an 80s synth-pop band as a side project to the garage-rock act they were in at the time. When Susse Stemma-Sihvola came in on vocals, bringing her scuzzed out bass tones with her, it ended up being garage-rock with a twist. FACEBOOK.
Less than a month since we first featured Have You Ever Seen The Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS? we now have 'Bambi Act' a sub two minute blast of fabulous garage rock. Last month we said of the forthcoming album "This is a high octane collection of music, the band are energetic throughout, mixing up some fabulous pop to punk or glam to grunge styles, with catchy upbeat and potent material every time". I reckon this song pretty much confirms all of that!
