Little Misty have released their self titled album 'Little Misty' which is a
collection of nine refined progressive folk songs that are all
fabulously arranged. === Kerry Hart has already gained considerable attention, hardly surprising considering the quality of her music, as is again confirmed with the new song 'Great Water'. === German country pop vocalist Henriette shares 'Crash Like This' a song with plenty of power and just a little hint of country rock. === From Israel we have Totemo with 'See You At The Beginning' a beautiful electronic dream pop and highly engaging song. === With a smooth funky groove The Tristones share 'Camaro' a track with all the slick quality Steely Dan used to serve up. === Just four weeks since we first featured the duo, Pike & Sutton return with the new single 'Together' another superb teaser for their full-length debut album 'Heart Is A Compass'. === Clem Snide makes his return just three weeks since we shared 'Roger Ebert', this time we have 'Don't Bring No Ladder' which is another beautiful Americana ballad.

Little Misty - Little Misty (Album).
Little
Misty is a progressive folk band from Montreal. The project started
from a collaboration between singer Kathryn Samman and guitarist
Francois Jalbert.
Surrounding themselves with a quintet
of some of the finest musicians and friends in town, Little Misty
explores the limits of folk music, bluegrass and progressive rock.
Their
songs explore different topics such as motherhood, travelling and
mental illness, always in a short movie approach; every song is meant to
bring the listener into a world of its own. Their first record was
produced by Joe Grass.

Kerry Hart - Great Water.
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Kerry Hart releases her debut album I Know A Gun. The album, which has already seen notable critical acclaim, has been met with enthusiastic fan response, with over 2M streams on Youtube, and well past half a million streams on Spotify and Apple Music. Today Hart is also spotlighting her new track "Great Water" for fans. She describes the song as "a modern hymnal, a worship song to the water, to the sky, and to the Great Spirit. It's an offering of one's burden on to the alter of Spirit, a pledge of faith to a higher power, a wider perspective. Within it, a potent lamentation, and a prayerful willingness to receive absolution."
Hart's beautiful rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Secret Garden," was called "stunning" by Forbes in a recent interview, while Folk Alley has praised Hart as well, saying "Very few artists make a first impression so indelible and wondrous that you know within seconds that they are truly special. In the past few years, Courtney Marie Andrews, Anna Tivel, and Dylan LeBlanc all cleared that bar and even raised it with succeeding efforts. Now comes Kerry Hart making a play of her own to join their ranks."
Atwood Magazine also acclaimed Hart's most recent single writing, “'Screaming Quietly' showcases her in a space of complete and utter honesty. Supported by a quiet electric guitar that eventually evolves into a full background of warm harmony, Hart sings her heart out – turning her full self toward those afflicted by pain of all kinds, in mind, body, and spirit."
Hart joined up with Nick Rosen and Léo Costa, multi-instrumentalists who have worked with the likes of Pharrell Williams and Jason Mraz, to record I Know A Gun at Perfect Sound Studios in Los Angeles. The album finds Hart embedding her lyrics with pieces of hard-won insight, enveloping that wisdom in her endlessly warm delivery. With its lavishly detailed and largely acoustic sound, the album unfolds in transportive melodies and sweeping arrangements, while bearing an edgy complexity entirely unique to Hart.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Henriette - Crash Like This.
The German Country Pop vocalist Henriette managed to attract attention in a pretty short time with her cheerful, honest character and especially her great voice and not only to breathe new life into the Country scene.
With her self-titled debut EP, on Valentine’s Day via Dr. Music Records, she will gain many new fans. Henriette produced the five tracks together with the two producers Jay Tooke, drummer of the legendary band The Steel Woods and James Robertson, well-known guitarist for e.g. Lindi Ortega and Dragonette, in Nashville.
She already presented it live to a large audience as a support act for US Singer-Songwriter John Craigie and at the 10th International Country Music Meeting in early February. With her three singles released so far, the passionate, vivid “Crash Like This” as well as the successful, charming Indian Summer catchy tune “Dream Boy” and the melancholic “Lighthouse”, the German Country Pop shooting star is currently on rotation on the radio.
The EP also features the two previously unreleased songs “Missing You”, which Henriette dedicated to her mother, who went through a hard time after the sudden death of her only brother, and “Fearless”, in which she processes the fears and doubts before her trip to Nashville.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Totemo - See You At The Beginning.
Israeli producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Totemo releases her stunning new music video for single "See You at the Beginning." The track comes from her 2019 full-length 'Everything Happens Only Once.' Totemo (Rotem Or) is a producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Tel Aviv, Israel.
As a teenager, she began honing her mesmerizing electronic dream-pop sound that melded East-Asian soundscapes with moody downtempo synths and haunting vocals. Her debut EP Heavy as My Dreams was released in 2014 while she underwent a year of treatment for cancer she eventually survived. This period was followed by the critically acclaimed Desire Path EP (2016), which received much acclaim.
In 2019, Totemo returned with her first full-length Everything Happens Only Once. Its preceding singles went on to be picked by Spotify on their official Indie-Pop and New Indie Mix playlists (800K+ & 900K+ listeners)
She will be making an appearance at SXSW Festival in Austin before heading out to tour China, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore, before returning once again to tour Europe.

The Tristones - Camaro.
The Tristones, led by the lively and kinetic blues rocker Tristan Clark from New York, NY, today releases, “Camaro,” the third single from his upcoming album Camaro, out in April. The title track to his forthcoming album, “Camaro” is available on all streaming services and can be found here. “Camaro was a fun song to write. I wanted to have a song that had an Al Green type feel but I never felt like I was the kind of guy to sing Al Green type lyrics.
I decided to change the narrative to be about a car and give it a silly play on a love song,” explains Clark. The track came together quickly and was enhanced by the magic of the full band. “I showed it to the guys in the band, Gregory Jones on bass and Adam Jackson on drums, and they play that style so naturally it clicked right away! We recorded it in Maine and my good friend Dylan Heming overdubbed the keys in Toronto,” Clark describes. “Camaro” is a fun twist on a love story, with the object of Clark’s affection being this desirable, classic muscle car. Catch The Tristones playing their album release show on Stage Two at New York City’s venerable Rockwood Music Hall on Friday, April 3rd!
Working again with longtime friend and colleague Jared Lucow, The Tristones release a lyric video for “Camaro” alongside the audio. The third single from The Tristones’ upcoming full-length Camaro, “Camaro” was recorded in Maine. The track was engineered by Jon Roods (The Rustic Overtones), Stu Mahan (The London Souls, Eric Krasno Band) and Rick Salt. “Camaro” was mixed by Salt and mastered at Tranquality Sound.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pike & Sutton - Together.
Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton will release their full-length debut album Heart Is A Compass on April 3rd. Led by "hometown favorites" (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7. On Friday they released their new single "Together" which debuted on Billboard.
"The song is about creating a safe place for people to come together and transcend all the bullshit that's going on," Pike told Billboard. "But in retrospect it's kind of about Wayne and I, too. We've been in our friendship throughout the years. We've been through a lot. When people continue to make music together throughout their whole lives, something special happens. So I think those two things are in that song."
Pike & Sutton is a partnership, a creative evolution, and a promise fulfilled. Equally anchored by the powerhouse vocals of Pike and the deep textured guitars of Sutton, Heart Is A Compass is both a transformative celebration of the pair's R&B, soul, and roots influences and an exhilarating call-to-arms for the faithful. Co-produced with Grammy-winner Jim Watts (Emmylous Harris, Jenny Lewis, Kelly Clarkson), the album crackles with passion, vision, and undeniable hip-shaking rhythms.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clem Snide - Don't Bring No Ladder.
Clem Snide, the moniker of Eef Barzelay, shares "Don't Bring No Ladder," the new single from his first album in five years, Forever Just Beyond, out on March 27 via Ramseur Records/Thirty Tigers. Barzelay has also added new tour dates where the band will be joined by Forever Just Beyond producer Scott Avett.
"'Don't Bring No Ladder' was the first song I sent Scott in the hopes that it would entice him to make a record with me and with the extra secret hope that he would sing it," says Barzelay. "Both of those hopes were sweetly fulfilled. May we all die without resentment and regret."
"Don't Bring No Ladder" is the second single from Clem Snide's forthcoming album Forever Just Beyond. The first single "Roger Ebert" was described by Rolling Stone as "a pretty, probing ballad that contemplates the mysteries of life...Clem Snide uses Ebert’s epiphany to make something that is wildly abstract, both relatable and comforting”.
The road to Forever Just Beyond, Barzelay’s stunning new album under the Clem Snide moniker, was an unlikely one, to say the least. “About ten years ago, everything just seemed to fall apart,” he explains. “The band bottomed out, my marriage was crumbling, I lost my house, and I had to declare bankruptcy. That started this process of ego death for me, where I realized the only way to survive would be to transcend myself and to try to find some kind of deeper, spiritual relationship with life and with being. Once I committed myself to that, miraculous things started to happen.”

Fake Shape - Nicole Atkins - Kite - On-The-Go - Britt - Tim Cheesebrow - Inbetween Movies - Selci
Fake Shape just released 'Headspace' a slick and stylish indie song with exquisite vocals and musicianship. === Nicole Atkins shares a video for 'Captain' featuring Britt Daniel, it's a dreamy pop piece with a gorgeous retro film. === From Sweden we have Kite and 'Tranås/Stenslanda' where the indie electro duo share an expansive, emotional and dramatic song. === Moscow based band On-The-Go have released 'Unsaid' a distinctive multi genre influenced song that is oozing hooks. === Britt shares song and video 'Looking For Another' a rhythmic, melodic and in all fairness quite mesmerising track. === Tim Cheesebrow has a new album out simply called '7' from which we have the first of twelve tracks 'Almost Through the Dark'. The song gives a good feel for the album where crafted musicianship and arrangements are driven by Tim's notably fine vocals. === Inbetween Movies first appeared here just a couple of months back and now we have 'Kiddios Cave' which is another beautifully crafted and dreamy song. === Selci also makes her second appearance on Beehive Candy with 'Strangers' where her unique and creative alt pop once again stands out and impresses.

Fake Shape - Headspace.
Fake Shape is an Alternative-Indie band from Hamilton, Ontario that formed in September 2018.
All five musicians offer their own aesthetic, creating music that falls between funk, indie-rock, pop and ambient electronic.
They have been writing and recording at Fort Rose in Hamilton and are getting ready to release their debut EP, Night Swim.
The songs drift through contrasting mindsets and morphing textures like navigating a solitary swim through dark water.

Nicole Atkins - Captain feat. Britt Daniel.
The wild magic of the Jersey Shore boardwalk has inspired musicians across generations, but it takes a uniquely distinct vision to go find that slice of regional wonder in Northern Alabama. On 'Italian Ice' (17th April / Single Lock Records), that’s exactly what Nicole Atkins has done, taking over the hallowed Muscle Shoals Sound Studio with a one-of-a-kind band featuring members of the Bad Seeds, Dap-Kings, the legendary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and more. "Musically, it doesn’t make any sense,” says Atkins half-jokingly. “But I’m a superfan of all of them and we ended up with the weirdest, craziest band ever. It just became this awesome misfit party.”
The video for 'Captain,' which features guest vocals from Spoon’s Britt Daniel and finds Nicole starring in the most fashion-forward 80s infomercial ever.
Named dually for her favourite summer treat growing up in Asbury Park and an alter ego she’s taken on while shooting dice, 'Italian Ice' has been described by Nicole as “an acid trip through my record collection,” at turns as opulent as symphonic pop and as gritty as garage punk with shades of psych-rock, honky-tonk and girl-group melodrama. Conjuring the romance and danger of the Jersey Shore, 'Italian Ice’s eleven tracks ultimately channel an endless summer set to the sounds of the AM radio dial.
Nicole Atkins is a songwriter and performer with a fearless and frank style. Fans of Atkins’ previous release 'Goodnight Rhonda Lee' include Rolling Stone (who previously named her a “Top 10 Artist to Watch”), Uncut, Mojo, NME, NPR and American Songwriter. In addition to writing, recording, and playing music, the Nashville-by-way-of-Asbury Park musician is an art school graduate who specialised in wildlife illustration and is an active painter. Nicole will also be sharing her original artwork with fans through her newly-launched Patreon page, 'Natkins Funhouse'.

Kite - Tranås/Stenslanda
Swedish indie-electro duo Kite has shared new track 'Tranås/Stenslanda'. The song combines an adventurous sonic approach with a pop sensibility, and it's a prime example of their sound, a dark wonderland of droning synthesizers and throbbing beats, full of majestic melodies.
The track comes accompanied by a video directed by Marcus Malmström. Asked about the video, he said: ”Having grown up in a small, rural place myself, I wanted to capture that decade-long wait to get away and start a life for yourself. Those drifting, longing thoughts that become rarer as you get older and in hindsight shaped the person you are today.”
Based in Stockholm, the duo is composed by singer Nicklas Stenemo, who grew up in the small town of Stenslanda and keyboard player Christian Berg who came from the even smaller town Tranås. After performing with various synth/indie outfits separately, they finally joined forces and started Kite. The opening track of their first EP, 'Ways to Dance', was an instant club hit in Sweden.
Their live experience – featuring spectacular lights, breathtaking projections and sometimes cat statues shooting laser beams from their eyes – have gained them a reputation as a great live band. This is how Dagens Nyheter, one of Sweden's main broadsheets, described one of their shows ”Projected on the dome over our heads are marching skeletons, hummingbirds in slow-motion, bomber aircrafts on a purple sky, lunar craters, the snow-covered peaks of Himalaya, neon shimmering nebulas and a space baby à la Kubrick´s 2001. The Native American dream catcher dangling from Christian Berg´s synthesizers must have been switched to reverse.”
Following last year's performance at Way Out West Festival and two sold-out shows at The Royal Opera in Stockholm, alongside a 16-piece orchestra, Kite are currently working on new music and gearing up for more live shows later on in the year.

On-The-Go - Unsaid.
With their brand-new album around the corner, the Moscow-based band On-The-Go release their fourth single, ‘Unsaid.’ Influenced by electronica, pop, and folk, ‘Unsaid’ offers intimacy through its lyrics, whilst projecting a large amount of energy across its sound of indie-pop, and sonic surges.
The track tackles the feelings of regret surrounding the things we wish we were able to tell the people we care about, but never could. Whilst there is a guilty feeling of regret, lyrics such as ‘say what you have to, before you leave,’ suggest that there is hope for forgiveness, although there is a doubt of unlikeliness.
Discussing their new album, Yura Makarychev, the frontman of On-The-Go says: “We wanted to make sure that each song is based on specific ideas, and lyrics with the rhythm, and melody forming around the subject”.
Influenced by pop, folk and electronica, the band combine progressive time signatures, an ecstatic energy and crystal-clear production. Complex arrangements, delicately layered textures and heartfelt lyricism result in an affecting, nuanced record. The band tells us that “we wanted to make sure that each song is based on specific ideas and lyrics with the rhythm and melody forming around the subject.”
The songs tackle subjects such as looking for balance in relationships in the ever-changing and unpredictable world, the conflicting emotions around raising children within a political climate of fear and hatred, and the changing nature of memories as our current experiences increasingly conflict with the beliefs we held in the past. This is evident on tracks like ‘Happy’ (feat. Kate NV) which explores the effect of mental health on relationships, and the moral dilemma of trying to help or be supported by a loved one while trying not to be dragged under yourself.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Britt - Looking For Another
Britt tells us - My new song, “Looking For Another,” was written as I walked alone around Toronto on a summer day. Wherever I looked, there were groups of people who all seemed to know each other and have it “figured out.”
I produced the song as I wrote it, and it was important to me to hold onto its initial spark, as I built it out and mixed it myself later.
With the video for the track, I strove to tap into that same feeling I had as I was writing it, the longing and desire to connect with others, and the pain at feeling unable to do so.
I juxtaposed scenes shot in downtown LA by Eric Bilitch, with footage that I shot in my childhood bedroom back in Toronto. I edited these two worlds together - my past home in TO and my present home of LA.
With the narrative, I wanted to capture that feeling that we’re never enough in the eyes of others, that there’s something inherently wrong with who we are.
I did this through the eyes of a young girl (played by Charlotte Lindsay Marron) who struggles to look like the Instagram celebrities, even as it leaves her feeling deeply unhappy.
“Looking For Another” is tongue-in-cheek because although I felt like I was the only one, in writing the song I acknowledged the universality of feeling alone.

Tim Cheesebrow - Almost Through the Dark
Background from Tim - My name is Tim Cheesebrow, and I've been a performing musician in Minnesota for 20 years. During that time I've written seven albums of original material, written a book on songwriting and its effect on the mind and body, spent 9 years operating a nonprofit that teaches young people to write songs, and I play over 120 shows a year.
This latest album, "7," is quite special. It's a folk-rock, singer/songwriter's playground with a range of styles from driving rock to haunting dirges and soaring ballands. Stylistically it lives in the vicinity of Jackson Browne and the Eagles, with some 90's influence.
Calling on the talents of some of the Midwest's finest studio musicians, I produced and recorded the songs in my own studio. It's been a true labor of love to bring all the pieces together, and it allowed me to take time to craft the songs thoughtfully and artistically. I enjoyed every minute working on this project. I hope you'll enjoy listening to it just as much.

Inbetween Movies - Kiddios Cave.
One week ago, Inbetween Movies released their modern and playful anthem 'Kiddios Cave', followed now with a video.
Electronic, modern and playful: Zurich-based dreampop and shoegaze-quartet Inbetween Movies are back with new single 'Kiddios Cave'. Their refreshing mixture of frayed melodies and modern beats is reaching people around the world. The previous first two singles have gained thousands of plays on Youtube and Spotify – without the band's effort doing extensive promo.
With the new single «Kiddios Cave» getting into radio-programmes could work for the first time. The pulsating beat, carried by spherical hooklines, goes deep. Thematically, the song revolves around the moment when a relationship is actually already over, but both sides are still fighting for getting it together again. A situation that everyone knows and that moves. Yoiu can feel the glue of hope between the chords.
The video clip is also worth seeing. It shows how loneliness first needs to leave the body in order to allow hope growing again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Selci - Strangers.
Calgary alt-pop artist Selci is sharing a new video for “Strangers,” an anti-Valentine’s Day track about a love that’s faded and gone, off her debut Effervescence EP. The song recalls a run-in with an ex-lover, and the painful realization that after knowing someone so intimately you, hardly know them at all.
The video is framed around the deterioration of a relationship, juxtaposing Selci’s own memories in a surreal, subconscious world. A series of hazy vignettes spiral through memory, romance, dissociation and the loss of self. Blending high-definition and 8 mm film, home video and stop motion animation, analog textures are used to imply nostalgia and the timeless nature of broken relationships, while flickers of animation enhance the surrealist vibe.
“As the video progresses, I become cloaked in layers of fabric,” says Selci. “Happy memories are overcome by recollections of anger and violence, and I become engulfed by tulle. As the intensity increases, the boundary between reality and the subconscious world is blurred. This veiling is meant to signify the loss of self in a relationship. It mirrors the sensation of distance from the self and the distance from a lover as the relationship falls apart.”
Effervescence examines the aftermath of various relationships (“Strangers” and “Old Wounds”), a split with a bandmate (“Eyes of Amber”), and ponders the concept of artistic and societal freedom by using the metaphor of a mythic, mermaid-like creature confined to land (“Truth in the Sea”).
Though trained in opera, contemporary and classical musical styles, Selci uses ambience and rhythm to compose sounds that exist on the fringes of pop music. To create Effervescence, Selci spent years in isolation while learning the craft of production, setting her on a path of rediscovery and self-acceptance.

Snake released 'Falling' earlier this week and it's one feisty and fabulous rocker with hooks galore. === Scottish artist Dawn Coulshed has just released 'Same Side' a beautiful singer songwriter piece with a richly refined musical arrangement. === We featured HEBE last November and she returns with a new song and video for 'Out Of Sight' a smooth and soulful electro pop song. === CocoRosie share a fourth song and video from their next album, this time we have 'Restless' and it is simply wonderful. === Although this song was released back in November Cherokee Death Cats have just appeared on our radar and 'Sick' is to good a rocker to pass up on. === EllaHarp releases 'Screaming Into The Void' a stunning song where the harp and her melodic vocals fuse beautifully together on this refreshing folk pop song .

Snake - Falling.
Four years after their debut album ”Cradle of Snake” was released Snake is now back with the new single ”Falling”. The single consists of four brilliant and explosive minutes characterized by what happens when Tess De La Cour, Madeleine Frankie and Mia Maria Johansson play together in a room.
With strong vocals, screaming guitar and and a steady beat this single is the first glimpse of the new album recorded with Stefan Brändström in the Dustward Studio, which will be released in the fall of 2020.
"We’ve worked really hard on the songs for this album. We’ve experimented with the dynamics of the songs and have found out what we are really good at.
The last record we did, we did really fast and there was not much time for reflection. It turned out well, it’s not that, it’s just that this time we’ve really taken our time. There is a more elaborate feeling."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dawn Coulshed - Same Side.
The way that the vocals have been laid over melancholic piano and trumpet on Scottish artist Dawn Coulshed's brilliant new single Same Side creates a haunting sound that has already led to comparisons with Elder Island, Maggie Rogers and Daughter.
Since relocating to London, Dawn has toured with the Roundhouse Choir, performing with Jamie Cullum at the Proms and collaborated with folk singer Sam Lee. She has played everywhere from Lovebox Festival to the Royal Albert Hall, and as far afield as Live at Heart in Sweden.
Inspired partly by the music of Laura Marling and Thom Yorke, Dawn explains that Same Side shines a light on tragic human conflicts:
"Same Side came about after personally witnessing how people can lie and clash with each other, without realising that often they're fighting for the same thing. That's what we do as humans. We argue and fight, but ultimately, we all want the same things in life. With what's been going on at the moment, especially in politics, this song feels more relevant than ever.”

HEBE - Out Of Sight.
Amsterdam riser HEBE shows her vulnerabilities with ‘Out of Sight’, a new slice of organic soul-influenced electronic-pop, out now as an independent release via Kartel.
Lifted from her forthcoming debut album, ‘Cards On The Table’, planned for release in late 2020, ‘Out of Sight’ is “an open question about love and if it can survive long distances”, HEBE says about the song. Inspired by the long-distance relationship with her boyfriend, the lyrics perfectly capture the fear of uncertainty that comes with physical separation.
“I regularly travel between The Netherlands and Uganda to visit my boyfriend who lives in Kampala. Before we started this adventure, all these questions and insecurities came over me. I was afraid to express my thoughts, fears and expectations, so I wrote down all I wanted to say and that became ‘Out of Sight'”.
Hailing from Amsterdam, the talented artist has been collaborating with some of the Netherlands’ finest musicians, including award-winning producer/mixer Huub Reijnders, drummer Martijn Bosman, pianist and vocalist Ruben Hein, who all contributed to the harmonious contrast of warm, catchy vocals set to pulsating electro-pop drums and synths of her upcoming album.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CocoRosie - Restless.
After announcing their first North American tour dates last month, CocoRosie (Sierra and Bianca Casady) are sharing a fourth new track “Restless” along with a music video (directors CocoRosie, editor Amy von Harrington) which is filled with rollerblading fun.
CocoRosie’s music has influenced a wide variety of artists - from Chance the Rapper collaborating with them on his last album, to Melanie Martinez stating the sisters are a major inspiration, as well as Jay Rock on “Knock It Off” and Macklemore/Ryan Lewis on “Stay at Home Dad” sampling their music and respected artists like Yoko Ono and Jim Jarmusch praising the sisters.
In April, they will play their new music and old favorites in one-of-a-kind live shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago in honor of their upcoming album Put The Shine On from their 7th studio album Put The Shine On to be released March 13th 2020 via Marathon Artists.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cherokee Death Cats - Sick.
Cherokee Death Cats mix garage, rock and dirty pop with electronic and live beats.
The Anglo / Swedish duo of Bea Persson and Rat Westlake have earlier played together in post-punk, alternative and garage bands and started CDC together in December 2017 to take the sound further. They work out of Gothenburg, Sweden, in their studio in town and their work space in the woods.
After a flurry of dynamic studio sessions and performances at underground clubs, CDC released their debut EP "No No No" in April 2019, and signed with US publishers and media company Position Music shortly after. Hot on the heels of that release, the follow up EP "Sick" was released in November.
Both EPs were recorded at Gothenburg’s Nacksving studios; mixed and produced by Swedish producer Anders Lagerfors. The band are currently working on new material for a third release later this year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EllaHarp - Screaming Into The Void.
We're very pleased to introduce a compelling young San Francisco Bay based folk/pop artist whose songs and lyrics loom large. EllaHarp, solo moniker of singer songwriter Ella Dawn Jenkins, writes powerful, universal stories that prove the harp may just be mightier than the sword. Everything about EllaHarp speaks to a strong sense of self-reliance, from her original writing to her self-production to even designing her own harp, clothing and jewelry.
'Screaming Into The Void' is the first single (and title track) to be released off EllaHarp's upcoming sophomore album, 'Screaming Into The Void' to be released later this year.
From the artist: 'Screaming Into The Void' was written in a moment of frustration about releasing music in the digital age. In many ways it's easier than ever to make a splash, but amidst the overwhelming quantity of music coming out on any given day it can feel a lot like you're making literally no difference whatsoever.

Adult Mom - Yerachmiel - oh!no?ok. - Biche
Adult Mom have just released 'Berlin' a smooth flowing indie rocker with melodic and just a little hypnotic vocals. === Yerachmiel shares a new video for 'Vision Of You' & both the song and the video are beautiful. === oh!no?ok. first came our way last November and now they are back with a mixture of slacker and alt rock with a tinge of retro about it, anyhow enjoy 'Candy Crush'. === Biche share 'Discipline' a stylish indie song and despite the lyrics being French, this is just so dreamy and catchy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adult Mom - Berlin.
Adult Mom released a new song entitled “Berlin” this week and are about to kick off a lengthy tour with Palehound. “With the inclusion of keys, soft acoustic work, and Knipe’s tender vocals, one can practically feel the emotional height of their heart grappling with this loss.” says the Grey Estates about the new single.
“‘Berlin’ is a song that took over a year to write. It’s about processing the loss of an important friendship without knowing the exact cause of the loss.” says Stevie Knipe (they / them), adding “Through loss, there are moments recalled, like meeting for the first time, the moment you got close with that person, singing “hole” in dorm rooms, drinking beer in a bathroom, and of course, the complete paralyzation that comes with loss. It’s about being in between healed and not, and trying my best to calculate the reasons why she left.”
Adult Mom began as the solo project of Stevie Knipe in a Purchase College dorm room in 2012. Adult Mom now falls between the playful spectrum of solo project and collaborative band with beloved friends and musicians Olivia Battell and Allegra Eidinger. Through reflections and explorations of the personal and hidden, the crux of the writing produced by Knipe is focused on excavation.

Yerachmiel - Vision Of You.
Message from Yerachmiel - Since the launch of the new album OFF THE DERECH, we have seen some exciting developments. Over 15 radio stations In Israel and America have played singles of varying genres. We made it to some Indie, Rock, Folk and Reggae stations. In the last 2 weeks we have gotten over 10k streams on Spotify.
Yerachmiel was featured in a great write up in the JOL. There's lots of other exciting news such as our campaign of FB and Insta showcasing fans and collaborators around the world with the album and choosing their favorite song.
The most import piece of news for you today is that we have a simple yet sweet new music video for the song Vision Of You.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
oh!no?ok. - Candy Crush.
Salt Lake City, Utah might be best known as the world headquarters for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That may change as a fertile counter-cultural underground music scene is slowly seeping into nationwide consciousness with artists such Neon Trees, Imagine Dragons, The Moth & the Flame, Sego, and Desert Noises. Up next, something weird and tuneful is poised to be Salt Lake City’s nice prime musical export. Self-described slacker rockers oh!no?ok. stake their claim to the mantle with the fearlessly catchy debut, randy warhole (or somethin).
oh!no?ok. is comprised of high school friends Ryan Osborn, Cole Miller, Jackson Ludlow, and local guitarist Nick Storey. The band is a year old, and has been working closely with locally-renowned producer Nate Pyfer (The Moth & the Flame, Kaskade, Sego). Lead vocalist Ryan and Nate laid the groundwork for the band’s music, though each member brings his unique flair, making the process a cohesive collaboration. They play the kind of music you’d hear blasting forth from a suburban garage in the height of the alt-rock boom of the 1990s but they update this scruffy aesthetic with sleek but-not-too-polished production and a dose of raw skate punk. Their songs feature cleverly abstract lyrics, bold musical dynamics, experimental textures, adventurous arrangements, and sharp pop-rock hooks. This melding of tuneful and arty conjures an array of classic and current alt-rock innovators such as Weezer, Pavement, The Presidents of the United States, Butthole Surfers, and Spoon, FIDLAR, Car Seat Headrest, and PUP.
The quartet is the local scene buzz band, playing packed shows regionally and earning accolades from key scene tastemakers. Underneath their playful veneer and intriguing wordplay, oh!no?ok. tuck in themes and narratives that illustrate society’s vices, cynicism, and the lies that we tell ourselves to avoid confronting our insecurities and depression. Ryan says: “Our music is, in part, a commentary on issues humans have struggled with as long as we’ve been around. Issues such as entitlement, pride, drug abuse, video game addiction, online persona management, and idolization. The primary theme is how we often take the first step in recognizing that we struggle with these issues, but we lack the motivation to actually fix our problems. This results in us being hyper aware of our flaws but feeling powerless to improve ourselves. Our ultimate goal is to share our message and passions with the masses.”
The band’s forthcoming debut randy warhole (or somethin) is a bold release that’s as catchy as it is playfully confounding. Throughout the 12 tracks, the band twists through shambolic indie rock, pent-up punk rock, art-damaged alt-rock, and synth-y 1980s new wave. Each sonic fishtail is hook heavy, and the band effortlessly finds a way to balance the downright strange with the sing-able.

Biche - Discipline.
After a debut album "La Nuit des Perséides" (2019), the psychedelic rock revelation Biche unveils a new single "Discipline" two weeks before their show at La Maroquinerie (Paris).
Heady melody and underlined metronome sound, Biche once again rightly shows the perfection of each of their songs:
"With Discipline we tried to transcribe an idea of strong repetition, implying that to perfect 'your gesture' you must keep repeating" Alexis Fugain.
A song dedicated to Alexis' mother, Stephanie Fugain.

Mechanimal - Certain Animals - Brielle Ansems - Vilma Flood
Less than a month since we featured the video for 'Stolen Flesh' Mechanimal return with another video this time for 'Scavengers' a fabulous electro industrial piece with incredible spoken vocals. === Certain Animals return for a fourth time in six months with 'Tangerine' where the Dutch band share some superb sixties vibes. === Brielle Ansems has just shared 'Ironside' a beautiful indie folk song that is refined and beautifully arranged. === It's been a year since we first came across Vilma Flood and so it's a welcome return to Beehive Candy with her new song 'End', another Scandinavian Americana piece that is totally captivating.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mechanimal - Scavengers.
With a stunning mix of post-punk, electro and industrial, Greece's ‘drone n roll’ project Mechanimal (Giannis Papaioanou, Freddie Faulkenberry) have just released their new album Crux (out January 27) via Inner Ear Records. And now, they are following it up with a new video for the LP's, "Scavengers". Directed by Gerasimos Domenikos.
It's the second video the band have released to promote the album, following last month's video for "Stolen Flesh".
Mechanimal’s last record was 2016’s "Delta Pi Delta". In June last year they released "White Flag" single which marked the return of original singer Freddie back on vocals with his characteristic spoken word.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Certain Animals - Tangerine.
Dutch band Certain Animals serves you melodic rock filled with vocal harmonies. The members aren't afraid to show which records they've been listening to. Musical giants from the '60s and '70s are spinning on their turntable on a daily basis. The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Electric Light Orchestra are regular companions in their musical life, but also the fuzzy and phasey sounds of contemporary bands like Tame Impala influence the music of Certain Animals.
Without being stuck in the past and with a critical view on the present, the band brings you their intriguing sound which makes for an energetic live show filled with intimate moments and explosive bursts of energy. In less then three years, the band managed to build a strong live reputation by playing shows on major Dutch festivals in famous venues all over the country, and they also performed across the border in Belgium and Germany.
While busy touring, band members Thijs van Leeuwen (vocals, guitars), Niels-Jan van Dijk (bass, vocals) and Kees Braam (drums, vocals) managed to build their own recording studio at a former red light district in the port of Rotterdam. At their home base the trio writes, produces and mixes their music single-handedly, working towards the release of their debut album scheduled for spring 2020.
New single Tangerine is a harmonic blend of polyphony, taken straight out of black-and-white images of London in the sixties. The era when The Kinks and The Beatles could be found there in the wild. Just like their idols, Certain Animals used whirling twelve-string guitars and a lovely grunting Höfner violin bass in their recordings. Tangerine evokes the atmosphere of the hip incrowd of the time and describes an obsessive romance with a royal touch. That obsessiveness is delivered sweetly, but - just like the song - spins out of control eventually. One of Certain Animals' more gentle songs from their upcoming debut album shows a different side of the band: a side that is not afraid to combine beautiful poppy melodies with a craving for the past, and on top of that three-part harmony vocals.

Brielle Ansems - Ironside.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in Montague, PEI, Brielle Ansems has grown up with music on her lips and a creativity fostered by Prince Edward Island’s artistic community. As an avid reader, writer, and a recent graduate of Holland College School of Performing Arts Theatre Performance program, her lyric-focused music fuses folk sensibilities with pop and r&b influences to create an emotionally charged, poetic experience for her audiences.
Brielle gained recognition early in her journey with the 2011 SOCAN sponsored songwriting competition, Soundwaves’ So You Think You’ve Got the Beat, the winning of which resulted in a showcase in that year’s ECMA proceedings as well as recording time with well-known musician and producer David Rashed. Notable performances over the years have included both opening for, and sharing the stage with the likes of Ben Caplan, Liam Corcoran, Tim Chaisson, Matthew Barber, and Adyn Townes.
As well as her work in the music industry, Brielle has also earned recognition in the Island acting world, making her professional theatre debut in the 2018 season of the Watermark Theatre. Her debut album, This New Hurricane, is planned for a 2020 release.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vilma Flood - End.
Vilma Flood had her breakthrough on the Scandinavian Americana scene last year when her album "Moodswinger" got raving reviews.
Often compared to Karen Dalton, Sophie Zelmani and Mary Margaret O'Hara the artist still held her own space and vibe. Short stories all delivered with Flood's extra ordinary vocals.
"End" is the first single off of a forthcoming album , again produced by Tobias Fröberg, and the release coincides with her biggest headline show yet at Fasching in Stockholm.

Emily Keener - Matt Harlan - Emerald Park - Adam & Elvis
Emily Keener releases 'Do You Love Me Lately' this coming Friday and we have to go back almost three years since we last featured her. Ahead of her new album due in May this is a gentle introduction, the vocals are beautiful and shine above a restrained musical backdrop. === Matt Harlan releases 'Best Beasts' his brand new album comprising of thirteen really fine songs. The songwriter mixes personal observations with some refined musical arrangements that are natural and easily connect with the listener. === A couple of weeks back we featured 'Rules Don't Apply from Emerald Park and now we have a video for 'The Haze' also taken from their impressive brand-new E.P 'Basement Sessions'. === Since 2016 Adam & Elvis have appeared here on four occasions and the fifth is for 'Bedwetters' an alt rocker that finds the band in marvelous form with this rather intriguing song.

Emily Keener - Do You Love Me Lately.
In advance of Valentine’s Day, Cleveland indie-folk artist, Emily Keener, announces the February 10 single release of “Do You Love Me Lately?” The single depicts the fragility of romantic love as Keener’s smoldering vocals float around a slowly pulsing, retro groove. It’s off the album, I Do Not Have to Be Good, due out May 22.
“Do You Love Me Lately?” emerged at an intersection where Keener felt creatively lost while also reflecting on owning her desires as she navigated her early twenties. One day while staring off into space she had a fantasy about what it would be like to date a woman. She says, “I let myself get distracted, and watched the storyline play out. ‘Fantasy’ might imply sexiness, and there was that aspect, but really quickly I found myself painting this woman as an unavailable dream-girl way out of my league. I saw the relationship as one that would shine a light on my deepest insecurities.”
In a breathy undercurrent interlaced in sweet and rich tones, Keener sings, ‘we danced in her kitchen to all of Blue.’ A reference to the Joni Mitchell album, one of Keener’s favorite coming-of-age companions, it’s what she imagined her dream-girl would be listening to as well. Chorus and verse tenderly sway between hushed restraint and gentle reaching, as lyrical and instrumental tension expose the moment in the relationship. “Do You Love Me Lately?” dreamily touches on fear and vulnerability, unveiling what needs healing with a pensive slumber.
On her upcoming album, I Do Not Have to Be Good, Keener colors her plaintive and introspective lyricism with a frailty that longs for connection and understanding. When Keener began working on the new album with Dalton Brand at WaveBurner Recording, she consciously broke away from the belief in perfection and purity as being necessary, or even possible. She says, “Despite a loving family, my personal experience with a Christian upbringing led me to develop deep self-censoring, self-doubt, and the belief that I must always present as kind and good regardless of how I feel.” The album is a call to free censored desires and doubted truths.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt Harlan - Best Beasts (Album).
Matt Harlan crafts sociopolitical narratives with an artist’s eye (“What We Saw”) and a poet's elegance (“Mountain Pose”). His seamless new collection Best Beasts spotlights a rapidly rising songwriter growing exponentially with each track. Political unrest maps the landscape. “Best Beasts became much more political than I imagined,” Harlan says. “Everything I started to write ended up being about current events. The theme throughout the record is me trying to makes sense of our crazy world today.”
Harlan frequently delivers keen insight with an every man’s grace. “Another bad day, another scene that makes no sense,” he sings on the album’s poignant closing track, “Another Bad Day.” “Another angel on the fence/but maybe it’s the morning star/Another bad day/you know I tried to shake it loose/and find a different point of view/pretend the sky's not falling.” “I understand things better when I separate myself and tell stories from someone else’s perspective,” Harlan says. “Narrative songs are like a gel-cap around medicine. Listeners can feel the same emotions even if they don’t know there’s something in a song that they might not agree with. We all have to deal with the world. We have that in common.”
Harlan’s vivid vignettes frequently feature blue-collar every men struggling for purchase of their own hard-won happiness (“Heavy Steel,” “K&W”), which they occasionally find (“Mountain Pose,” “Catching On”). And there are pauses for reflection (“Like Lightning [Way Out of Town],” “Somebody Else”). “I hope folks can understand the issues from both sides,” the 37-year-old Houston native says. “I think these songs are about the changes and struggles we all face in one way or another. So that means they had to cover some ground I've never had to tread before but other people find themselves walking daily.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Emerald Park - The Haze.
Emerald Park, one of northern Europe's most successful bands releasing music under a Creative Commons license is back after 5 years of silence with the brand-new EP "Basement Sessions". Their new work will be released in two versions: as a traditional 5-track digital version and as a Creative Commons 4-track version.
As always, Emerald Park tend to move among different parts of the indie genre influenced by bands such as The Cure, Arcade Fire, James, Depeche Mode and Blur. In every song you will recognize the constant presence of melancholy but somewhere around the corner happiness is in reach. The lyrics are about the feeling of being misplaced and searching for something else, something bigger in life. Or maybe the grass isn’t greener on the other side?
"Rules Don’t Apply", which was released as a single last summer and is now remastered, is the most electrified and energetic track, while "The Haze", "Decease", and "Bigfoot" are the most melancholic songs. The fresh version of "Bigfoot" and a new track called "She Sees Something Else" are the two songs that have really caught the essence of Emerald Park.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adam & Elvis - Bedwetters.
Bedwetters Utd is an unabashed pop song with a huge amount of structural and lyrical invention. Without the listener knowing where they want it to go, the song guides them. An unlikely subject heightens its anthemic outro, which could fit into the myths of great songwriters who jump out of bed with a melody still in their mind, left by a dream.
"I am the newest signing for bedwetters united I am the star of the castrated squad / how do you do how do you do it / how do you do it
G seven straight from heaven makes you think there might be something more, oh something more something more
I don’t need a cinema ticket to be entertained I order a filter coffee and I look your way, you’re way too good for me you’re too good for me
G seven from heaven makes you think there might be something more, oh something more something more / G seven straight from heaven a gift from the Gods sent from above two hundred decibels of love
We are tired of being bedwetters".

Selkama - The Danberrys - Pawn Painters - Detalji - Satin Nickel - Puss N Boots
Having featured the previous two singles from there forthcoming album it's a pleasure to include the third from Selkama entitled 'Mosquito Bite' as the pair once again impress in a big way. === The Danberrys have just released their new single 'The Mountain' and the Americana duo have a bluesy rock vibe going on as they give us a glimpse of the upcoming album 'Shine'. === From Bavaria, Germany we have Pawn Painters and 'Under The Sun' a moody, emotive and atmospheric indie rocker. === Detalji shares 'Without You' a feisty and rhytmic electro song where her vocals soar superbly above and within the beats. === New York City based Satin Nickel release 'Call It' a fabulous folk pop song accompanied by a beautifully matched video. === Puss N Boots might be better known than many of the emerging artists we feature here however their new song 'Sister' is just to good to ignore.

Selkama - Mosquito Bite.
Mosquito Bite is the third single from Selkama’s upcoming debut album which will be out this spring.
About the song: Mosquito Bite is a break-up song written in retrospect. It’s about realizing that you’ve been denying your feelings for someone and then understanding it too late. It deals with how hard it can be to let go of strong memories that you’ve been romanticizing and rewriting way too much in your own head. Kim arranged the powerful strings that Jenny Lander later played so beautifully on violin and cello in the studio. It’s something special to hear your own songs with strings for the first time and for a little while we felt as close to a James Bond-soundtrack as we will ever come.
About the video: The video is animated and directed by our talented friend Michaela Rosengren who was given free reins to come up with whatever she wanted.
Michaela about the video: Selkama’s song is a telling depiction of a lost love that you can’t seem to forget. In the video I tried to illustrate the physical and psychological emotions that you drown in and are haunted by after a painful break-up.

The Danberrys - The Mountain.
Americana duo The Danberrys officially release their new single "The Mountain". For the single, Dorothy and Ben pulled inspiration from New Orleans’s traditional second-line rhythm and blues and features vocals from American songwriter Darrell Scott. Their lyrics reflect a message of destruction becoming a catalyst in creating new strength and wisdom.
"The Mountain" is the first single off The Danberrys' upcoming album Shine, out May 8th, 2020. Comprised of 12 new tracks, The Danberrys masterfully depart from their signature acoustic sound to capture elements of rock, blues, and folk. This new musical direction lets the pair venture into a darker atmosphere as well as allowing their self-written lyrics to stand tall. Shine will mark The Danberrys third full-length album.
In the meantime, The Danberrys are excited to finally release "The Mountain". The single will soon be proceeded by more incredible singles including the title track "Shine". Be sure to check out The Danberrys on social Media and check out "The Mountain", now available on all streaming platforms.

Pawn Painters - Under The Sun.
Indie band Pawn Painters from Bavaria / Germany release their first radio single "Under the Sun" via Junuh Music / Believe Digital.
The Pawn Painters combine vintage-oriented sounds with a modern, spherical sound spectrum for driving indie and alternative vibes. In some places the band is reminiscent of the young The Strokes, carried by the extraordinary voice of singer Simon Mennes
If the Pawn Painters were actually painting, their paintings would be rich in intense colors and patterns. Even if the four musicians from Bavaria are not painters, the description fits their style perfectly. The band bundles vintage-oriented sounds with a modern, spherical sound spectrum for indie and alternative beats.
The Pawn Painters were founded in 2016. Four musicians, plagued by the band landscape in the area and their own efforts. A cellar somewhere in the slums of Schrobenhausen's Westside is considered the creative breeding ground for these united souls. The first contests were won with the string jump in Pfaffenhofen and the Noiseattack in Ingolstadt. The result was the first release of their single "Talk Philosophy" and an appearance at the Taubertal Festival in Rothenburg, followed by appearances at the Noisehausen Festival at their hometown.

Detalji - Without You.
Helsinki based artist and producer Detalji shares explosive new single 'Without You’ via Deep Limit + announces UK dates.
Detalji is the solo project of Krista Myllyviita, a Helsinki based artist and producer. Today, Detalji shares romantic party anthem Without You. a musical expression of excitement and the relief you feel when you’re finally ready to surrender yourself to love. It’s about the joy of knowing that your loneliness is coming to an end.
In 2019 Detalji was shortlisted for Breakthrough Artist of the Year on Finnish national radio, as well as winning a Femma Award (Finnish "indie Grammy”) for Best Electronic Act, alongside playing her first shows outside of Finland including appearances at Iceland Airwaves and Eurosonic Noorderslag.
Myllyviita first started making left-field electronic pop from her bedroom after attending her first rave with her sister at the age of 18. Up until this point, Myllyviita fulfilled her musical desires singing and playing guitar in various bands, but she was always striving for something different. And so in 2016, after a few years of exploring and developing her sound, experimental electronic project Detalji was born.
Rising from the thriving Finnish pop scene, Detalji is an artist forging her own path with ambitious tracks written for international crowds. “I do everything alone, using tools on my computer, a few synthesizers, Ableton Live and a microphone,” she explains, a process which all takes place in her studio apartment in a gloomy part of Helsinki called Itä-Pasila. 2020 is already off to a flying start with Detalji being nominated for a prestigious EMMA award as well taking her enthralling live show on the road.

Satin Nickel - Call It.
NYC-based folk-pop band, Satin Nickel, has released the new single, “Call It,” via a premiere on Pancakes and Whiskey, and announced the release of their first full-length album, Shadow of Doubt, on April 10, 2020.
The song was inspired by the personal experiences of band member Samantha Aneson (vocals, guitar, banjo). “A few years ago, I was in a toxic relationship with someone I was pretty addicted to. We had a lot of arguments, weeks we’d go without speaking, and not a lot of respect,” she explains. “I remember him, in the middle of arguments, saying that we ‘should just call it now before it gets worse.’ That saying really stuck with me. ‘Call it’ is a phrase I’d hear in reference to going home at the end of the night - something much less final. It was almost insulting, how easy that phrase made breaking up sound. When I was healing from the relationship, I went back over that phrase and ended up writing a hook based around it.”
Satin Nickel began as a collaboration between Aneson and fellow songwriter Morgan Hollingsworth (vocals, guitar, mandolin). Combining Hollingsworth’s aggressive approach to the Americana narrative with Aneson’s sentimental and introspective approach to folk music, they found their contrasting styles complemented each other, forming a powerful dichotomy, smooth as satin and hard as a nickel. In the winter of 2018, they met fellow theater artists Nikola Balac (drums) and Ariana Karp (cello) and released their debut self-titled EP. Adding bassist Andrew Shewaga to the group, Satin Nickel became a full-bodied quintet and recorded Shadow of Doubt.
Satin Nickel will be performing at NYC’s Bowery Electric on February 17, in celebration of the release of “Call It.” Shadow of Doubt is out everywhere on April 10, and tour dates will be announced soon.
