Ally Row - The Bernadette Maries - Some Days Are Darker - Cello - Katie Cruel - Clare Perrott

Ally Row - Adeline.

Gunaikurnai/Gippsland based duo, Ally Row, continue their rise as one of the most talked about & exciting new acts within the Australian music landscape via their brand new single, “Adeline”.

While taking a conscious new musical step alongside producer, Jason Resch (Kylie Minogue/ Pet Shop Boys/ Darlinghurst), “Adeline”keeps all the things you love about Ally Row front and centre. There’s that signature warmth, dreamy banjo, sweet yet strong vocals and honest catchy lyrics.

As Ally Row’s Rowan Sizer explains, “the song is an ode to the lovesick and the ones that got away. It’s a catchy, energetic celebration of loneliness while feeling untethered and missing someone so much that it feels like you’ll never recover.”

“When a relationship ends, most of us wonder what we could have done better. Some of us stay lovesick and broken hearted and it feels like your whole world is caving in”.

The Bernadette Maries - Soft (Album).

The Bernadette Maries are a band from Brussels, established in 2024, with members Daria, Guy & Romain. Their sound merges post-punk energy, shoegaze's dreamy textures, and indie rock hooks. TBM's music is about love and existentialism, melancholy & meaning of our lives in a world that is slowly falling apart. It is inspired not only by music, but society, books, and movies as well.

Their very first song, "Dream Place", was released in September 2024, quickly followed by "Nouvelle Vague" and "We Know Everything". "LvvV", the band's debut EP, was launched on February 14, 2025. On December 3rd, 2025, they released their first music video for "The Closer You Look", with a second music video for "ESO" set to be released on April 29th.

Some Days Are Darker - Memorize You.

Today the new single and music video “Memorize You" from New York based Some Days Are Darker has been shared. The trio draws from the shadowy grandeur of goth, the hypnotic pulse of synth-driven alternative rock, and the intimacy of noir cinema. "Memorize You" is a a dark, feverish rush where desperation and desire become increasingly difficult to separate. Driven by a restless pulse, and enveloped in a darkened atmosphere, the song builds from intimate confession into something increasingly expansive and overwhelming.

In the twilight between romance and ruin, New York’s Some Days Are Darker makes music for the space where longing becomes obsession, intimacy becomes isolation, and beauty begins to reveal its teeth.

What began as the solitary songwriting project of former metalcore guitarist Lear Mason has evolved into a three-piece built around the chemistry of Mason, bassist/guitarist/keyboardist Chris Martin, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Robbie Williamson — three musicians with decades of experience who share a fascination with the darker corners of human experience.

Some Days Are Darker draws from the shadowy grandeur of goth, the hypnotic pulse of synth-driven alternative rock, and the intimacy of noir cinema, but defies easy categorization. Their songs move fluidly between towering walls of sound and moments of startling vulnerability, creating a world that feels at once cinematic and intensely personal. The result is music that doesn’t simply tell stories of love, loss, lust, and rebirth—it puts the listener inside them.

Cello - Forever.

Independent Brighton artist Cello today releases the new single “Forever” via Barracuda Recordings. Cello returns with her new single, “Forever”, taken from her forthcoming debut album ‘Kung Fu Disco’. Described by Cello as neon-tinged teenage heartbreak, the song finds her contemplating time, life and death, as well as love’s transcendence of it all. “Watching all the seconds as the time just slips away,” she sings over a track that evokes groundbreaking 80s indie-pop stars such as Blondie, The Motels, Wire and early Eurythmics.

Cello is a very focused and determined artist who is keen to be involved in the whole creative process. The music video that accompanies the track was filmed, directed and edited by Cello, who created a dreamlike layered video confronting different reflections of the self and the feelings surrounding them. “You want the moment to last forever whilst looking for the exit,” she explains, “Ripe with bittersweet promise.”

“Forever” marks Cello’s fourth single, following the disco-laden “Like A Tiger”, the more defiant “We Do What We Want (When We Want When We Want To)”, and debut track “Vitamins”. Excitingly, two songs from the forthcoming album have already been picked up for the soundtrack of a major American film release.

Katie Cruel - Nights In White Satin.

Today Katie Cruel returns with a spellbinding new interpretation of “Nights In White Satin,” the enduring classic by The Moody Blues and the latest release from her ongoing Cruel Covers project. Following her haunting take on The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Disarm,” Katie Cruel — the musical project of Canadian singer-songwriter Kate Boothman — once again steps inside a song that has followed her through her life, reshaping it through her own dreamy, cinematic lens.

“‘Nights In White Satin’ has been rattling around my solo couch sessions for years,” Katie says. “The lyrics have always resonated and it’s easy to play. When I decided to make a cover record, this one was at the top of my list.” The connection runs deep: The Moody Blues’ landmark Days of Future Passed has long been one of Katie’s “desert island records,” making the song an instinctive choice when she began exploring the music that had shaped her. “It came easy and fast,” she says of recording her version. “This version is a little bit Sherwood Forest and a little bit Serge Gainsbourg. We had fun with it.”

Cruel Covers grew out of a period of creative reflection following the release of Katie Cruel’s acclaimed debut album, Lost Vagus. After years spent writing and recording her own material, Katie found herself searching for inspiration without wanting to force another batch of original songs into existence. Instead, she turned toward the records and artists that had moved her over the years, asking what might happen if she inhabited someone else’s story for a while. With “Nights In White Satin,” that approach transforms a familiar classic into something distinctly Katie Cruel: atmospheric, mysterious and a little strange, while preserving the aching romanticism that made her fall in love with the song in the first place.

Clare Perrott - How Can I Tell You?

Clare Perrott celebrates the strange beauty of life with an ode to her friendships in her new coming-of-age indie-folk number, ‘How Can I Tell You?’, out September 18. Filled with her luminous vocals, Perrott transforms life’s little moments and unsaid feelings into a heartfelt ballad. As she navigates growing pains and the awkwardness of unsaid feelings, the track becomes an expression of gratitude for her friends and the strange privilege of being alive.

With just two singles behind her, the Boorloo-based artist’s unique take on indie-folk has already earned her support from Rolling Stone AU/NZ, Triple J, Triple J Unearthed Spotlight feature, Spotify, Apple Music and more. Perrott’s approach to folk has seen her take stages across Australia this year, playing the Woodford Folk Festival, the National Folk Festival, winning the Emerging Artist award at Nannup Music Festival and supporting Lloyd and the Leftovers on their East Coast Tour.

Packed with airy vocal flips and cosy folk feels, ‘How Can I Tell You?’ is a raw and sincere ballad soaked in twangy guitar and warm, understated crooning. Playful vocal harmonies weave around expressive slide guitar, gradually building into a rich slice of Americana folk-rock grounded in plainspoken truths and open emotion.

At its core, ‘How Can I Tell You?’ is about appreciating friendship and loving life while still overthinking, over analysing and coming to terms with growing up. Perrott captures the awkwardness of holding back feelings, biting your tongue, and finding the vulnerability to really express your emotions. As Clare Perrott shares: “‘How Can I Tell You?' is about honest communication and appreciating all the love and light I have in my life. Sometimes it's easy to take love in any form for granted, and you gotta bridge that gap and get over yourself. Tell them how you feel! Feelings are everything, and even though they are ours, they deserve to be shared.”

Celine Cairo - Kate Schutt - The Bernadette Maries - Dogviolet - The Surge - Resa Saffa Park - sundayclub

Celine Cairo  - Panacea (Album).

Dutch singer-songwriter Celine Cairo this week releases her third studio album Panacea. Having amassed of 45 million streams and a devoted international following, Celine Cairo forges her own path. Entirely independent and supported by a close-knit circle of music collaborators, the spirit of creative freedom is at the heart of her new record. Made the way Celine has always worked - on her own terms - it was recorded over nearly two years between partner and co-producer Benjamin Rheinländer's studio outside Amsterdam and a handful of spaces across the country, with contributions from band members, songwriters and musicians drawn from a small circle of trusted friends. The result is a collection of songs that could only be intimate, unhurried and entirely her own.

A meditation on growth, surrender and truly feeling alive, it was created during a period of real personal change, tracing a journey toward hard-won acceptance and the unexpected lightness that comes with it. Panacea means "a solution or remedy for all difficulties or diseases", a title that captures both the album's searching quality and its profound sense of release.

Celine Cairo: "Panacea reflects on the paradox of our endless search for happiness. The harder we try to 'heal' and better ourselves, the farther we find ourselves from inner peace. I've struggled with depression and anxiety my whole adult life, and in recent years found relief in letting go of that insatiable search for happiness and peace. I hope these songs bring some compassion and a sense of relief to listeners - that we are enough, and that the idea that there's something inherently wrong with us is simply not true."

The title track announced the album's arrival in powerful fashion earlier this year as a hopeful meditation on self-acceptance, recorded on Wurlitzer piano at her Amsterdam home with her partner and brought to life with strings played by India Bourne of Ben Howard's band. The haunting 'Cycles' follows a similar emotional thread, finding calm in life's recurring patterns and the quiet wisdom that comes with learning to accept rather than resist, while the album's focus track 'Feel' draws on a similar alt-pop sound reminiscent of a downtempo 90s sound.

Kate Schutt - “Sippin’ On Sunshine.

Award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer Kate Schutt shares “Sippin’ On Sunshine,” a warm and radiant new single that transforms emotional connection into pure sensory bliss. Blending adult contemporary songwriting with breezy pop melodies and subtle vocal jazz textures, the track captures the feeling of being so fully lit up by another person that language itself struggles to keep pace.

Written while immersed in the creation of an entirely different project centered on the Arctic, “Sippin’ On Sunshine” arrived unexpectedly. “This was one of those gifts from the muse that we songwriters sometimes get,” Kate explains. At the time, she was deep into research and songwriting inspired by her trips to the Arctic and the history of Polar exploration, surrounded creatively by “ice and snow and flinty skies.” In contrast, one phrase suddenly surfaced: “Sippin’ On Sunshine.”

“I suppose I was craving some warmth,” Kate says. “The whole song revolves around this one simile. The experience of being so madly, joyfully in love that language is left reaching for comparisons, ‘Your kiss… it’s like Sippin’ On Sunshine.’” The result is a track that feels buoyant and deeply sincere, balancing lightness with emotional intimacy. Built around glowing melodies and Kate’s unmistakably clear vocal delivery, “Sippin’ On Sunshine” leans into warmth without losing its sophistication. There’s an effortless quality to the songwriting, but beneath it sits a careful attention to detail and craft.

The Bernadette Maries - Missing Bernadette.

'Missing Bernadette' is the brand new track from Brussels-based The Bernadette Maries. This track is the third single from their debut album "Soft," due out on September 18th via Géographie. From the first notes of “Missing B.”, the Bernadette Maries transport us to the misty British soundscapes of the '90s, reminiscent of Slowdive and The Stone Roses.

After boldly blending shoegaze and drum & bass in “ESO”, the Brussels-based band unveils a new single that still drifts through dreamlike realms, while grounding its music with heavy guitars echoing the most anthemic choruses of Smashing Pumpkins or Deftones. It’s a way of connecting the memory of loved ones to the present, keeping your head in the clouds while feeling the rest of your body pierced by a complex emotion—somewhere between melancholy and deep gratitude.

As mentioned before on Beehive Candy The Bernadette Maries is a band from Brussels, established in 2024, with members Daria, Guy & Romain. Their sound merges post-punk energy, shoegaze’s dreamy textures, and indie rock hooks. TBM’s music is about love and existentialism, melancholy & meaning of our lives in a world that is slowly falling apart. It is inspired not only by music, but society, books, and movies as well.

Dogviolet - Daughter.

London’s Dogviolet announce their anticipated debut EP Wilting, and share the evocative new single ‘Daughter’ (June 18th). A gritty and evocative blend of the band's ethereal-grunge meets post-punk aesthetics, the single captures both a driving sense of energy contrasted against their ethereal tendencies.

Produced by the band’s own Ella Patenall, recorded and mixed alongside Tom Hill (GENN, Pollyanna, Knuckledust, I Feel Fine), ‘Daughter’ showcases the more immediate, intense and raw side to Dogviolet’s sound. Born out of the pressures of being the eldest daughter in a family, the track uses its angst to drive a soundscape of biting guitar tones, punching drums and Naz Toorabally vocals which move between the floating verses and a more visceral, pointer chorus delivery.

Speaking about the single, Naz and Ella explain: Naz: “Daughter is about wanting to break the cycle of generational trauma and resist the eldest daughter compulsion to hold our families together, but not being quite ready to let go of control. When you’re in the throes of your perceived duties as an eldest daughter, you become delusional. Like believing you’re the sun and water for your family, that without you they would wilt and eventually die. And so you keep smiling and justify the chronic anxiety, exhaustion and constant choosing between your happiness and theirs.”

Ella: “Daughter is our loudest and most cathartic song. It’s the one we end the set with, crank all pedals on and go a bit wild. Capturing that energy in the studio was really important to us, so we let ourselves have fun with it. We were picking up every guitar in the studio and stacking layers to get that wall‑of‑sound feeling. I also threw an e-bow part into the final chorus for extra lift. We weren’t sure it would work, but it really did!”

The Surge - See Your Face.

England's South Coast alt-rockers The Surge return with their latest single, "See Your Face", out now and taken from their forthcoming album Meow. Blending the band's trademark heavy, tightly-crafted sound with sharp lyrical observations, "See Your Face" explores how even the smallest misunderstanding can spiral into something much bigger than it ever needed to be. At its heart, the song is a reminder that communication remains the key to any healthy relationship.

The band explains: "See Your Face is about how even a small misunderstanding in a relationship can create a big problem. Things are often blown out of proportion and could easily be sorted out if we all had the patience to communicate and understand each other. Don't let things fester, life is too short."

Driven by powerful riffs, infectious energy and relatable themes, "See Your Face" continues The Surge's knack for pairing social observations with memorable hooks. The track offers another glimpse into Meow, an album set to showcase the band's evolving songwriting while retaining the raw energy that has become their calling card.

Hailing from across the Hampshire and Dorset border, The Surge have spent recent years building a reputation as one of the South Coast's most exciting independent rock acts. Their debut album Amped arrived in 2023, while a nomination for Best Breakthrough Artist at the 2024 Original Music Awards highlighted their growing profile on the UK independent music scene.

Resa Saffa Park - Love Is a Lonely Feeling.

Oslo-based singer/songwriter and composer Resa Saffa Park today unveils new single 'Love Is a Lonely Feeling'. Born in Dubai, with her musical upbringing rooted in Liverpool (Resa is a graduate of LIPA), and now based in Oslo - Resa Saffa Park's work pulls from jazz, soul, indie and noir-pop in equal measure - drawing influence from artists as varied as Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Mitski, Julia Jacklin and Nirvana, while sitting somewhere in the orbit of Tamino, Michelle Gurevich and Portishead.

New single 'Love Is a Lonely Feeling' traces a fallout with her own artistry, through picked acoustic guitar, feathered drums and jazzy keys. Speaking more on its release, Resa Saffa Park shared: "Love Is a Lonely Feeling is my heartbreak song about my relationship with music. For a long time, the love I had for creating didn’t feel strong enough to break the silence I felt in return. A quiet, one sided devotion. I felt lonely in my artistry, and I slowly started falling out of love with music, losing trust in my own intuition. The biggest loss was not knowing when my spark faded, or where it went."

Following the release of her independently-released debut full length 'Silver Bead Eyes' in 2025, Resa has cultivated a devoted international audience, with sold out headline shows across Turkey and further live dates spanning Stockholm, Milan, Paris, Copenhagen and London.

sundayclub - Sad Summer.

Winnipeg indie band, sundayclub, return with new single, “Sad Summer,” the latest preview of their forthcoming self-titled debut album, SUNDAYCLUB, arriving July 10 via Paper Bag Records.

Built around a simple guitar riff that would go on to define the band's sound, “Sad Summer” captures a feeling of emotional paralysis familiar to many: wanting to retreat from the world while feeling increasingly pressured to keep pace with it. Blending hazy indie rock, shoegaze textures and deeply personal songwriting, the track finds sundayclub at their most direct and emotionally exposed.

Written during a period of social withdrawal and creative frustration, “Sad Summer” began as a stream of unfiltered thoughts before evolving into one of the emotional cornerstones of the album. “‘Sad Summer’ came about as a result of feeling extremely unmotivated, both to create and to socialise,” explains vocalist Courtney Carmichael. “The chorus just kept repeating itself: ‘Sad summer, it's a sad summer.’ Everything about the song felt candid because we didn't shy away from exposing that inner dialogue of feeling tired, down and disconnected. There's something freeing about being that direct.”

The band leaned into that honesty throughout the production, incorporating phone calls and conversational fragments beneath the track's warm guitars and blurred textures, creating a song that feels simultaneously intimate and expansive.

The Bernadette Maries - 3 Days of Wonder - Alex Hellcat - Chelsea King - Langhorne Slim - Sunday Morning

The Bernadette Maries - The Closer You Look.

Between post-punk excitement and a tormented psyche, The Bernadette Maries crafts here an introspective piece, tinged with shoegaze and dream pop influences (DIIV, Fontaines D.C., Cocteau Twins & The Stone Roses in the lead). With melancholy and dreamy eyes, "The Closer You Look" announces a bright future to the band with the release of their first album in 2026 on Géographie.

The Bernadette Maries is a band formed in 2024 in Brussels, Belgium and composed of Guy, Daria, Romain, and David. The band skillfully blends the energy of post-punk, the sonic textures of shoegaze, and the melodic structures of indie rock.

TBM's music speaks of love and existentialism, melancholy, and the meaning of our lives in a world that is slowly collapsing. It draws inspiration not only from music but also from society, books, and film.

3 Days of Wonder - Anyone Who Knows.

Opening with a wall of distorted guitars and driving drums, the track immediately establishes the high-octane energy that defines the band's sound. In the verse, a melancholic wash of emotional sincerity emerges through elegantly picked guitars and heartfelt vocal delivery, gradually building momentum before exploding into a yearning, driven chorus.

As the track unfolds, it swells into a cinematic middle eight, before closing with a climactic final iteration of the emotionally resonant, ear worm chorus.

Speaking about the track, the band explain: "This song is about the destructive streak we all have in our personalities. Recognising it, managing it and even loving it as part of you. Sometimes it wins and you have the car crash. The ride might be fun but the aftermath is not. Even so, it won’t hurt forever! It was a cathartic time as it felt like the big-brother of a song we had written in 2023 called Younger Days”

Alex Hellcat - Kids From Broken Homes.

Alex Hellcat is a german artist with passion for doing things his way. His musical style stretches in many directions like a spiderweb. Influenced by punk, ska, reggae and rap, Alex songs are about freedom, old horror flicks and things that keep him awake at night.

The multitalent records every instrument himself since he's a one man crew. Grade 2 said: "Vocally it reminds me of Left Alone who I am a big fan of. Great sound!"

His latest single “Kids From Broken Homes” breaks genre lines again — a reggaeton/dancehall driven anthem infused with emotion and attitude like Rancid would bring. It’s about growing up without roots, fighting for identity, and finding strength in your scars.

Chelsea King - The Rabbit Hole.

Rising alt-rock artist Chelsea King invites listeners into a darker, emotional labyrinth with her newest single, “The Rabbit Hole,” a gripping exploration of internal battle, personal transformation, and surrendering to the unknown.

Best known for her powerful anthems of feminine rage, bold storytelling, and raw vocal edge, King pushes further into the shadows with “The Rabbit Hole,” delivering an intoxicating and cinematic new chapter in her signature sound. The track pairs eerie lyricism with chillingly atmospheric production, creating a world where beauty, chaos, and curiosity collide.

Recorded at Pentavarit Studios, the track features drum legend Atom Willard (Alkaline Trio, Angels & Airwaves) and Nathan Keeterle on guitar. The song was produced by Jackson Eppley and mixed and mastered by Bobby Holland, bringing King’s signature bubble-grunge sound to life—a lush, cinematic fusion of dreamy pop textures and raw rock energy.

“This song is about being afraid to evolve, but finding someone who sees every version of you and says, ‘Let’s go anyway,’” says King. “It’s about falling down the spiritual rabbit hole together—through the good, the bad, and the beautifully strange.”

Langhorne Slim - On Fire.

Trailblazing singer/songwriter Langhorne Slim has released the official video for his latest single “On Fire” off his forthcoming album The Dreamin’ Kind, due out January 16th through Dualtone Records. Bursting with Motown influences and soulful strut, “On Fire” sets the stage for an Elvis-tinged, Risky Business-inspired late-night closing shift at the local dive.

“I wrote ‘On Fire’ one morning after listening to an old reggae record put out by the mighty Mississippi Records,” stated Slim. “I was stoked to record it with the boys, but knew it needed something extra so I called the Queen: Jess Wolfe. I’d been wanting to work with her for a long time and though she was a fully pregnant goddess, she said she’d be there. She laid down an orchestra of background vocals in about an hour and made the song slap.”

“On Fire” follows the release of the propulsive, electrifying “Rock N Roll,” and “Haunted Man,” a hard-rocking juggernaut accompanied by a spooky, fog-filled video featuring guest appearances by Greta Van Fleet members Sam F. Kiszka and Daniel Wagner. Slim also recently shared the banjo-driven roots anthem “Dream Come True,” whose raw tangle of acoustic instruments gives way to a gorgeous, swelling crescendo.

The Dreamin’ Kind is Langhorne Slim’s ninth studio album and finds the Pennsylvania-born, Nashville-based artist strapping on an electric guitar and embracing his longtime love of larger-than-life rock & roll. The album was produced by Greta Van Fleet’s Sam F. Kiszka, who also plays across the album alongside his bandmate Daniel Wagner.

Sunday Morning - Carry the Sky.

Vancouver’s Sunday Morning return with their most radio ready and emotionally resonant single to date, “Carry the Sky,” a sweeping tribute to love, loss, and the weight of memory that never fully lifts. The project, led by frontman Bruce Wilson, has long navigated a space between poetic storytelling and cathartic art rock, drawing comparisons to David Bowie, Nick Cave, and Iggy Pop, yet this track brings a newfound immediacy and accessibility to Wilson’s singular voice. “Sunday Morning has always been a very personal project and the subject matter of the songs come from my direct experiences though they’re often masked in allegory and poetic license,” says Wilson.

“‘Carry the Sky’ differs from previous songs because it is, at its essence, a tribute to two beautiful people I loved dearly who died and left intangible chasms in my life that will never be filled.” He wrote the soaring chorus after losing his close friend Christian, and the verses after the death of his sister Juliet soon after. The result is a song that faces grief honestly while refusing to drown in it. “I didn’t want this song to be stuck in my grief but to have a sense of celebration for these two lives who brought so much love, compassion and wisdom into my life.”

Sunday Morning is the brainchild of Vancouver music scene stalwart Bruce Wilson. His prolific art and music career took shape in New York and Detroit after his drug and alcohol fueled grunge punk band Tankhog imploded in Vancouver in the late 90s. Years of addiction, lost time, and eventual recovery would reshape his entire creative voice. Returning to Vancouver, Wilson cloistered himself away in a tiny room at the historic Waldorf Hotel to rebuild through writing, an effort that evolved into Sunday Morning’s acclaimed 2016 debut.
