Melby make their fifth appearance on Beehive Candy with the new song 'Common Sense'. Whether it's indie pop, rock, psych or folk Melby have the knack for creating superbly crafted music the latest single being no exception, it's another beauty from the Stockholm four piece band. ===== Classic Water have released a live version of their song 'Carthage' today. We have including the live and studio original as both versions are beautiful. I guess the easiest description for the song is indie folk however part of me feels it's more than that, whatever the case just enjoy this lovely track. =================================================== Melby - Common Sense. Stockholm four-piece Melby have constantly been growing since their debut with catchy single 'Human' in 2016. Last year, the band took their biggest step yet with the acclaimed debut record 'None of this makes me worry' which was followed by tour dates all over Europe. The band returne

We shared 'Body Of Water' by Hundreds in January and they are back with their third single 'Calling' and it's another splendid electro pop song. === It's a year to the day since we last featured Melby who have just released 'Things I Do When I'm Alone' a melodic indie folk track that is warm and so engaging. === Yesterday CocoRosie released their seventh album entitled 'Put The Shine On' from which we have already shared some tracks, now we have the whole collection and it is everything they promised and more. === Time flies by, it's been over a year since we last featured Rosie Carney whose back with the new single 'When I Look At You'. So this is appearance twelve on Beehive Candy, maybe that's enough of a recommendation in it's own right. === Today Ross Palmer releases 'You Wont Need To Cry' a smooth, melodic alt folk kind of a song and it's beautiful. ----------------------------------------------------

Skand have shared a new video today for 'Down To My River' a refreshing and uplifting modern folk song from this refined duo. Melby - VCR. The band returned with Reject and Overthinking last year, a year which then saw tour dates in London and Berlin, as well as all over Sweden. Melby - Overthinking. Since debuting with catchy single Human early 2016 things have moved steady for Stockholm psych pop act Melby. Last year's debut EP received praise from both Swedish and international sources, making Melby one of the most exciting names on the Swedish indie scene. The band returned with Reject just before the summer, a summer which then saw tour dates in London and Berlin, as well as working on their upcoming debut album. New single Overthinking is yet another piece to the exciting puzzle that is Melby's music and another step in what is forming to be one very promising career. The new cut is out today via Stockholm label Rama Lama Records. The band often gets comparison to fellow swedes Dungen and Amason but Melby’s dynamic sound, with influences from folk, psych, indie and pop, stand out. The quartets light, semi-psychedelic folk pop is led by Matilda Wiezell’s enchanting voice which fits perfectly with Melby’s unique musical landscape - a sound that&

Falcon Jane - The News. Background - Grief is so complicated. It fills you with unanswerable questions, fear, sadness, and incomparable emptiness – but it is also about moving on and healing. There has been a lot of loss in the Canadian news lately, nationwide, and in my own community. “The News” is about losing someone you love and trying to find them amidst the dense, emotional fog of grief. I hope it can help aid those who are grieving by reflecting some of the complicated emotions we are feeling. There have been severe floods in my community over the last year. One of the last ones swelled the Grand River, washing a little boy out of his mother’s arms. I was so deeply affected when I heard about it – my partner and I had driven through the area where it happened only hours before. There are a lot of commonalities between “The News” and this boy’s story. When the next flood hit, I couldn’t help but try to capture some of what my community and I had been collectively feeling. Wat
